Poly Saccharide Resin (Poly Resin)
Poly Saccharide Resin also known as Poly Resin is a high-performance natural polymer used in a variety of industrial applications. Known for its biodegradability, excellent film-forming ability, and superior adhesion properties, it is widely utilized in coatings, adhesives, pharmaceuticals, and specialty chemicals.
Poly Resin is “Next Generation” in Poly Saccharide Resin Chemistry. It’s a long chain polymeric carbohydrates and coactive resin, which emulsifies and stabilizes water molecules in Alkyd Resin chain through hydrogen bond.
It’s a 100% Bio based Emulsifier, Eco-Friendly and Non-Carcinogenic.
Compatibility:
- Long alkyd chain
- Medium alkyd chain
- Short alkyd chain (fast dry, chain stop alkyd and short coconut
Poly Resin and Emulcifier
Poly Resin
Works by inserting water molecules in alkyd chain resin through hydrogen bond leading to improved stability, better film performance and control over drying process.
Emulsifier
Works by miscible water in just alkyd particle, hence water is suspended in solvent base resin that eventually leads to weak stability, less possibility of water addition, low water evaporation control and free water particles.

Lower Voc – Reduced Petroleum Solvent for Low Volatile Organic Compound
Film Hardness – Improves Wettability, Workability & Film Forming Performance
Drying – Catalyst That Leads to Decrease in Driers Percentage and Drying Time
Adhesion – Improved Adhesion on The Applied Surface
Gloss – Creates New Phase Particle (Water, Polyresin 100, Alkyd) With Retained Gloss
Rheological Properties – Improved Viscosity, Sag Control, Levelling
Useability – Compatible with Almost All Commonly Used Alkyd Resins
Cost Efficient – Allows Addition of Water in High Percentage Replacing Dosage of Alkyd, Solvent and Filler with Lower Density of End Product.
Poly Resin chemistry that supports addition of water in oil or solvent Based formulation leads better Emulsification than any other technology.
Added advantage includes:
- Reduced Yellowing
- Improved and consistent stability
- No gassing issue if properly formulated
- low foaming emulsifier that restricts corrosion
Into the Oil/Solvent Based System
Direct Water Addition (DWA): Can be added directly in the bulk production batch followed by soft water to reduce the production processing time.
